Note Cosmetics

Note Cosmetics.....have you tried any of the range??

I had heard so much about the Note Cosmetics range on Snapchat and across the internet so I said I'd go pick up some the range to see what I thought of it!!
From what I had seen online I was thinking it all sounded too good to be true and only way was to find out for myself.

Here's what I picked up....

I'll start off with prices....

Detox & Protect Spf 15 Foundation in shade 03 Medium Beige €13.95

Full Coverage Liquid Concealer in shade 01 Ivory  €4.95

Terracotta Powder in shade 02 Warm Honey €8.95

Long Wearing Lip Gloss in shade 05 cream Cup €7.95

Silk Compact Powder in shade 04 Sand €9.95

From the prices above you can see that whey are a very affordable brand. I paid €45 for 5 products from the range which is great!

My Thoughts.....

Ok so I'll be honest I didn't think I was going to like the products giving the price range and all the hype about them. They look like a high end affordable brand with the packaging and a lot like another brand that many makeup artists use and makeup lovers out there but are a hell of a lot cheaper as you can see from the prices... so I was thinking Nah these are not going to be good!!
Well wasn't I pleasantly surprised!! :) I LOVE them !!! The quality is UNREAL !!
The foundation itself lasts all day and is so lovely to work with. It blends so easily onto the skin and sets and sits lovely on the skin. Its a medium to full coverage foundation and with the medium coverage which is one layer it covers any redness or blemishes on my skin for me. Most foundations need two layers for full coverage or a good medium coverage to cover the redness without a doubt. I patted and buffed the foundation into the skin and it looked flawless, I was blown away by how good it looked.

The concealer is nice to work with it blends lovely too and isn't too heavy on the skin. It also doesn't crease I tested it lots of times with setting with and without powder and it sit perfect with no creasing. The only thing I will say about the concealer is... it says its full coverage but personally I find you need 2 - 3 layers of it to be full coverage. There's nothing wrong with that at all as its quite a light product but if I'm looking for a flaw that's all I can find with it!

The lip gloss is amazing I'd not worn a lip gloss is soooo long because I'm all about that liquid lipstick life....well not anymore. My love for lip gloss is back. It stays in place and holds its colour and shine really well. Obviously with a gloss it will wear away much quicker but it does last a good few hours. It's not real tacky and sticky on the lips which is nice to because tacky, sticky glosses drive me up the wall!!

The Terracotta Powder..... can we just take a minute to appreciate this product.... its amazing seriously!!! It's one of the nicest high lighters I've used in a long time. Its a dream to work with and it sits on the skin so lovely. It's so finely milled that there's very little blending needed with it. It builds lovely on the skin too so if you want a really vibrant and noticeable highlight it doesn't look too powdery when building it up which I love. I'll be picking up more of the shades.

The Compact Powder... I'll be honest I've not even needed to use it yet!! I get shine on the nose area after a few hours and I've still not needed to powder yet so that just goes to show you how good the foundation is! I will get to use the powder at some point (I hope) if not it will be going into my kit. When swathing it, it felt lovely not really drying on the skin which is good for anyone who is dry/dehydrated skin.

Now as you all know I'm super sensitive when it comes to anything going on my face and I get irritated so easily and I've not had one problem with this range at all!! With it being cheaper in price I was kind of thinking I would have a reaction but I didn't!! So if you suffer with sensitive skin don't worry at all its suitable for sensitive skin. Most the products have a property in them to help and trea skin such as Macadamia oil, Argan oil, Almond Oil, and Vitamin E just to name a few which is great.

Would I buy more of the range......... YES!!!!! In fact I plan on picking up more of the range.. I'm dying to try out the BB cream from them I've heard so many good things about them.

So even though the range is very affordable that doesn't mean to say its not durable or worth buying. A lot of people think if its cheap its not as good as other brands out there, even I thought the same about NOTE but I was very wrong! I would highly recommend the range to everyone and I would also have the range in my kit and use on clients its just as good as the rest in my kit and makeup collection.

So if you haven't picked up or tried any of the range make sure you get out and pick some up!!!

I picked up the Note Cosmetics from Mc Cabes pharmacy at City West Shopping Centre and are available from selected pharmacies natiowide.

I done a full face of makeup using all of the products I picked up....

Let me know what you think of the range and your thoughts on it!!

Shiseido Meet-Up Event

On Wednesday evening I was kindly invited to a Shiseido Meet-up event to show some bloggers about the range of products and the brand itself.

When I got there I arrived to a lovely training room layed out really lovely and greeted with such a warm welcome. The lovely Fiona couldn't have been any nicer and organised such a great event.
There where canapés on arrival along with prosecco. What a spread it was!!

Shiseido is over 145 years old and was founded in 1872 in Japan.
They are in Ireland since 1992, I have heard of the brand and to be quite honest I never really knew too much about them so I was intrigued to hear more about them.

They are a skincare, makeup and fragrance company and own many other well know brands such as Nars and Issey Miyake plus many more.

The event itself was amazing and very informative which is safe to say I NEED SHISEIDO in my life!!
They where the first to bring out a 24 hr moisturiser which is sold ever 15 seconds. They are also the first brand to bring out Bio-hyalauronic acid which plumps the skin along with moistursing the skin and leave it looking radiant.
My favourite of all is the Ultimune product which is a serum that treat any imperfection or blemishes on the skin along with leaving it look radiant!! These are the most awarded cosmetic on the market with over 54 global awards.

Everyone was shown a couple of clips about the brand, where it came from and the founder along with a couple of videos showing the powder of makeup and your take on things about cosmetics along with a brief over view of the brand.
I found it all very informative.

We where then shown a makeup demo from the lovely Danielle Mahon who is a brand ambassador for Shiseido. Here's the link to her site Danielle Mahon
Danielle talked us through the brand and some of her favourite products.
It's always great to see other MUA's in action :)

I went mad about the new foundation and I am only dying to get my hands on it.

It's Synchro Skin €48
The foundation is suitable for all skin types because it adapts you your skin when you apply it. It's abuildable coverage and inhances the skins natural vitality and complection.

I tested it out on the back of my hand and it dried in so nice. I left it on my hand for a good few hours and it didn't transfer onto my clothes. I rubbed it quite a few times and it didn't budge. Now if you are like me and want a foundation that doesn't look cakey, improves skin and doesn't rub off easy this seems to be the one. I love the fact that it suits every skin type and tone so there's no worrying what type or under tone is needed it suits everyone!
I will definitely be stocking up on this for myself as well as my kit.

The evening itself was great I met some lovely new bloggers that I'd never met before and caught up with some I'd not seen in awhile. All in all it was a great evening.

When leaving we were all giving an amazing goody bag to take home

Containing all these goodys and it's safe to say I've tried the cleanser and loving it. I'll have all info and reviews on the products we received up very soon.
In the mean time if you have Snapchat follow mine lipstickglitz and you will see all info about the products when I use them.

Thanks again to the lovely and fab Fiona from
The Works PR for inviting me and everyone at Shiseido Ireland.

Soft Gold Spotlight Eye Makeup Look

So it's that time of the week again..... Tutorial Tuesday!!! Over on Snapchat I do a step by step guide on how to create a makeup look.
This week I done a soft gold spotlight eye look, a long with using some of the products I had picked up last week from Collection and Natural Collection cosmetics.

Here is the look I created

So here's a run down of the products, brushes and a guide as to where they went.

                                                                       Brows:

Inglot Brow Gel no.15 and I applied that with an Inglot 17TL Brush

Eyes:

I applied Natural Collection White Opal under brow from the arch to the tail. Using Blank Canvas Cosmetics E23 brush (small pointed pencil shaped brush)

Inglot 335 for the transition shade which was applied just above crease using an Inglot 6SS brush and then blended into the lower lash line also

Then into the crease I used Inglot 326 using Nima Patricia brush ( small dense fluffy brush)
Once that was applied I then blended everything out using a clean Inglot 6SS brush

On the outer corners of the eyes I applied Inglot 306 in a V shape using the same Nima Brush Patricia and blending that out with the same clean 6SS Inglot brush
I applied this into the lower lash line using a Blank Canvas Cosmetics E23 brush

Using a flat shaped brush I applied Inglot 357 to the inner corners of the eyes

Using the same flat brush I packed Fuschia's white shadow in the shade 256 to the centre of the lid

Then applying the Natural Collection Barley over the white shadow in the centre of the lid using the same flat brush

When the eyes where finished I then applied a black kohl pencil to the upper and lower waterline to really intensify everything and give it that smokey look.

and going back in with the Inglot 306 and 355 into the lower lash line blending both out. Then applying a black mascara

Face:

I applied my Kat Von D Lock It Foundation using a Blank Canvas Cosmetics F21 brush

Then to Highlight and Contour I used NYX Mineral Foundation sticks in shades 02, and 09
blending them out using and Inglot 4SS brush

Then to "Bake" I used a translucent powder and a beauty blender and packed it onto the highlighted areas and just below cheek bones above the jaw bone also

To set contour and give it more of a defined look I applied the darker matt bronze shade to just below the cheek bones, temples, hairline, and under the jaw and chin using a Blank Canvas Cosmetics brush

Then to blend out the contour on the cheeks I applied the lighter shade to just above the contour and really working the colour into the skin using a Nima Blaithin brush
(this is perfect for anyone with a round shaped face as it slims it down)

Using the Nima brush i applied the darker shad of blush to the apples of the cheeks

To highlight then I applied the lightest shimmer shade of the quad and placed it just above the cheek bones and around the temples slightly
(this is a perfect highlighting shade for a day time look)

To really intensify the highlight I applied the same Natural Collections White Opal just above the highlight using my finger to really make it pop

Then to set everything I sprayed the entire face a couple of times using Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray

Lips:

For the lips I used Pennys/Primark PS...Love range lip liner in nude and NYX liquid lipstick in Sandstorm

I hope you like this weeks look and if you plan on trying it out of picking up any of the products I used please let me know :)

The Rise Pharmacy

Hey everyone!!

So last week I popped out to The Rise Pharmacy in Unit 1 Woodpark, The Rise, Glasnevin, Dublin.
I had been chatting previously to the lovely Jennifer who works there and she invited me out to see the place.

The pharmacy itself is there 3 years already and stock many many products which I will show you, but firstly I just want to tell you about how I got... The pharmacy itself its spotless, lovely and clean and everyone is really friendly. Customers popped in while I was there and the staff couldn't do enough for them which I loved because there is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable and rushed out of a shop.
Jennifer herself was really friendly, helpful and very bubbly person so we chatted for ages without even realising the time going bye. I would highly recommend anyone in the area either working, living near to pop in a have a look around. Wait until you see what they have in the store and what else is due to come soon to the pharmacy.....

Now as we all love out beauty products and essentials I took a few pictures to show you what they sell....
As you all know how much I love Sleek I was delighted to see they have Sleek in stock.. Blush, Highlight and contour palettes, and Brow kits.

SoSu is also available in store for all you SOSU fans out there... I can't wait to see
what shades The Rise will have in stock for Autumn/Winter.

Now I have to share with you the amount of tanning products they stock... Cocoa Brown, Dove, Sally Hansen and Rimell. Along with these brands they also stock tanning mitts, exfoiliators etc.

Along with all the general pharmacy items that pharmacy's have like hair colour, toiletries for men and women, femaine hygiene, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, razors for men and women. The Rise had a nice selection of Skincare which I loved. Not many pharmacy's stock many skin care ranges.

As you can see there a great selection from La Roche Posay, Elave, Uriage, Aveeno, E45, Clarins, Nivea, Simple, Garnier plus many more.
While I was there the lovely Jennifer gifted me with this lovely hamper of La Roche Posay products to try which I will have a review up soon about.

Now I'm not sure if many of you have heard about the Green Angel range before but The Rise stock it and I have to say its absolutely fab. Its like a holistic range of creams, exfoilators which I was also giving two samples to try... I will let you all know soon about them. The smell alone from the range was lovely, they smell like a range that would be in a luxury spa :)

Among the many ranges and products and items they also have this lovely Celtic Candles selection and my God the smells of them where just fab!! These will defiantly be added to my Christmas list.. Ideal for all candle lovers out there too!!

While I was in the store chatting to everyone Jennifer also told me they make hampers up for people in store which is a great idea for Christmas presents, birthdays and gifts. You can pick out your own items and have them made into a hamper or pick from some of the already made up in store ones.

I don't think there is anything in The Rise Pharmacy that you wouldn't want to pick up or add to your Christmas list, so I would suggest everyone pop in and take a look to see what they have. There was so much items and products to chose from, I couldn't put all of them up or this post would be flooded with pictures :)
They will also be getting in the new Flormar makeup range which is amazing and affordable so when its in store I will let everyone know.

The pharmacy are also doing a Christmas savings club so pop in and get some information about it.. its  great way to start saving for gifts for Christmas!!

If you do pop in make sure you say you heard about it from Lipstick, Glitter and Me :)

Conefrey's Pharmacy

Hi everyone!!
So I popped into Conefrey's Pharmacy recently in Pearse Street, Dublin 1 and I took a couple of pictures to let everyone see how lovely their pharmacy is!!

Firstly I'm going to tell you about what Conefreys stock in their Pharmacy..

Conefrey's stock a wide range of items and products in their store.
Their skincare range varies which is great because not all pharmacys have a wide range available..
*Uriage
*Ziaja
*Aveeno
*E45
*Eucerin
*Cetaphil
Are all of the ranges Conefrey's stock plus a couple of other ranges.

When it comes to makeup they have made sure to stock a mineral range along with two budget friendly ranges which I love!!
Anneco is mineral makeup which is great for sensitive skin and suits all other skin types. With it being a mineral powder product you can build the products up to achieve a medium to full coverage. Brush sets are also stocked in the pharmacy. With it being a mineral range most of the time they are higher in price range but with Anneco this isn the case :)
The two budget friendly makeup ranges are Wet n Wild and Kubiss which as you all know I'm a big fan of Wet n Wild :)

Conefreys are like most pharmacys when it comes to supplements where they have every supplement you will ever need. The great thing about Conefreys that's different from other pharmacy's and makes them unique..... They stock their own range of supplements.
These are all in the supplement collage below.
Now wait until I tell you about these... I was recently gifted some hair, skin and nails supplement from the lovely Tomas which I have wrote a blog post on recently and you can see just how amazing these are.
The Hair, skin and nail supplementsbare now available in a larger 60 tablet bottle for €13.99. So make sure you get in and pick some up... They are something every girl/woman should be taking right now!! These supplements only have the ingredients needed in each type of supplement which I find brilliant as their are a lot of people out there who can only have certain ingredient, vitamins and minerals. They get a massive thumbs up from me

Now for all the parents out their with small babies and toddlers Uriage baby range is available also... This to me is great many parents out there struggle to find a range of skincare to treat their little bundles of joys skin, from nappy rash to eczema Uriage has a cream suitable for it  so pop in and pick it up.

I think I would need hours to tell you what Conefreys stock so I've lots of pictures below for everyone to see along with all the basics like most pharmacys stock... One thing that stuck out to me when I was in that day was the weighing machine that also can tell you you're bmi, blood pressure and lots of other little things we should all be checking. These machines are rare to see in pharmacys now! Boots used to have them and now not so sure if their still there anymore. They are great if your on you're own little weight loss journey and want to keep track of how your doing.

Personally I think you need to pop into the pharmacy itself to see it for yourself and I've no doubt in my mind that what your looking for will be in store.

Now that I've told you about what is stocked in Conefreys pharmacy I want to tell you all about the lovely staff and atmosphere when I was in with them.
Everyone of the staff where so friendly and couldn't have helped me anymore than they could providing me with information on all the products and ranges. Tomas was there on the day also who was very friendly and such a lovely man to talk to. Tomas kindly sponsored a hamper of over €150 on Cetaphil skincare and lots of Hair, skin and nail supplements to my Ultimate Girls Day Out recently.. Which was an extremely kind gesture!!
What stood out the most was when anyone popped in to fill prescriptions or just to pick up some items, print photos everyone of the staff knew every customer by name and greeted them as they entered and said goodbye when they left... A service like that is hard to come by nowadays!! Such a friendly, polite and genuine bunch of staff and you could tell really enjoyed their job and what they could to for customers... I can see why they are in business for so long!! :)

You can take a look at their facebook page here.. www.facebook.com/CONEFREYSPHARMACY

I will definitely be popping back into Conefreys pharmacy again to stock up on more items and to chat with the friendly staff :)
