Penny's Makeup Drawers

Hi everyone!!

I'm back!!! I took a couple of weeks out from blogging but I'm back :)

Yesterday I woke to the madness all over Facebook and the internet and this time is wasn't any of the Kardashian's.... it was Penny's.
They have done it again!! They have really upped their game for beauty products lately and I'm loving it. Yesterday I had to go see with my own eyes just how good these new releases were....

Penny's or Primark depending on where you live brought out cosmetic storage drawers and holders in two shades...clear and pink and priced amazingly. The two small drawers are €4 and the tray that has holders built in are €3..... Now how can you go wrong with them prices??!.

Here's what I picked up

Now when I got to Penny's in Dundrum Shopping Centre all they had left was the pink shade but the colour ties in with my makeup table so I was happy with that.
The shelf was crowded with people dying to get their hands on what was left.

I picked up the two drawer sets and one tray style to stack on top. I got these to hold lipsticks on my table keeping them neat and tide and here is how they look....

I'm delighted with how they look, I have all lipsticks in the drawer in order of colour and on the top I have all liquid lipsticks (which are my little obsession at the moment).
Size wise the drawers and tray are quite small so you wouldn't get too much in them. I have eight lipsticks side by side in each drawer if that gives you a rough guide in size of width and you have stack the lipsticks up to two height wise per drawer. Ideally these would be perfect for holding small makeup products like eyes shadows, pigments, lipsticks, blushers etc.
These are perfect for all ages even for holding and storing hair accessories if you didn't want them for makeup. They have many uses.

If you are lucky enough to get your hands on them while stocks last then definitely do they are worth it!! I have a feeling we will be seeing lots of these going up on Facebook and that with lots of different uses so keep and eye out and if you have picked some up make sure you let me know what you put in yours :)

Vitry Nail Repair Treatment

Just over a few weeks ago the lovely Tomas from Conefrey's Pharmacy sent me this Vitry Nail Repair Treatment to try out.

This Vitry Nail Repair treatment is €13.99 for 10mls

As you can see from the picture its not quite clear in colour its more of a cloudy colour. It's designed to strengthen weak, cracked and broken nails within two weeks. You apply it to clean nails every two days and taking care of what you do with them in between the applications every two days. So by this it means be careful when washing, cleaning and opening things like jars and cans.

With my nails being is quite good condition from Conefrey's Hair, Skin, and Nails Supplements I decided to test it out on one of my clients who's nails never grow due to breaking constantly and splitting.
                                                     Here's her nails before
As you can see they are quite short and uneven in shape from breaking so much.

Here's what they look like after three weeks
My client has a massive difference in nail length where she has a tip coming off the free edge of the nails. They are much more healthy looking in colour and appearance. She noticed they felt much more stronger when it came to opening things and after washing up or having hands submerged in water. They don't bend as much either.
They have come on a long way. She followed all instructions correctly and applied it every two days as guided. She loves them!! :) :)

Overall I'm delighted with the progress in such short amount of time. It just proves that certain nail repair treatment polishes do work!!!
I would suggest if your nails aren't weak, cracked or brittle not to use it because it will make your nails too hard and cause them to break. As you can see in the second pic above very little is gone from the bottle after 3 weeks of applying every 2 days so it will last you quite awhile....Can you imagine how good your nails would look in three months time using this?!

I would highly recommend this product and would also suggest that you take Conefrey's Hair, Skin and Nail supplements also with this product to really give your nails a good boost and help them improve greatly. I stand behind both products as a guarantee they have worked!!!

Here are the Conefrey's Hair, Skin and Nail supplements also
These are €7.49

With it coming into the Winter this is the time our nails, skin and hair get effected by the cold and wind, along with the heat conditions in work or home so make sure you pick up either or both to protect yourself for the Winter months ahead!!

Conefrey's Pharmacy are in Pearse Street, Dublin 1.
They don't have an online site but Tomas will send you either of these products out to you if you are not in the area or outside of Dublin.
If you want to pick up either of these just get in touch with myself of Tomas and we can get it organised for you.

If you plan on picking up either of these amazing products or already have them make sure you let me know how you get on with them!!

Boyne Country Candles

Recently the lovely Denise from Boyne Country Candles gifted me with this Amazing Jamaica candle which is made with exotically fragrance oils and soy wax. Which smells absolutely define!! I'm quite fussy when it comes to candles and their scents... I find some can be very over powering and sometimes can give me a headache if burning too long. This candle is lovely and subtly scented and not over powering at all!! Which I obviously love and can cannot get enough of!!

Denise herself hand makes these candles (how amazing is that)
She uses frangrance oils and soy wax everything she uses is all natural products so there are no chemicals burning into the air space around you.
She has a range which are names on places around the world which when you might then it almost takes you to that place with the smell in the room... This idea I loved especially with this weather just sit back and close your eyes and imagine you are there.... Just don't open your eyes and look out the window to see rain ;)

There is an aray of choices to chose from the 'take me to' range which I can guarantee you you'll struggle to pick one because they all smell so lovely!

Denise also has a Organic range which are made more essential oils such as Eucalyptus, Lavender, plus lots more. These are also amazing in scent without being too much! These reminded me of being in a day spa and the smells you would pick from either having a massage or just from being in the spa itself.

With them all being hand made they are very affordable from €12.50 to €15.00 I think they are priced great! I have had mine burning for a few days now and very little has actually gone from the candle itself where as you can pick up candles and be lucky to get two days of burning out of some!

I'm also delighted to say that Denise will also be showcasing the Boyne Country Candles at the Ladies Day in the Green Isle hotel, Dublin which we have organized for chairty. She will have special offers on the day for candles sales on the day.

Thanks a million Denise for my lovely candle I'll definitely be picking up more from you soon.
For anyone looking to pick some up I've attached the link in the name above.

Jules Restaurant

So I popped into Jules Restaurant on Dame Street, Dublin for lunch recently. It was formally Les Freres Jacques and had been beautifully transformed into Jules.

The staff in the restaurant are very friendly and attentive. It's a lovely laid back relaxed atmosphere which I loved.

Here is the lunch menu. The portion size was perfect so much so that we ended up having three courses :) It's not very often that I'd be able to sit and have a starter, main and desert. Here's a look at the menu...

There was a great selection in every course which I liked along with great specials of the day... It was so hard to pick what to have!!
I love muscles so I couldn't resist having them to start. They came with scallops, in mash and garlic butter. They where delicious.
The presentation on the plate was fabulous.

So for mains we had Pulled Pork & Orange Crepe with Orange Segments and Meat Jus.

Roasted Corn-Fed Chicken Breast Served with Pancetta Puy Lentils

And last but not least for desert we had White Chocolate & Passionfruit in 3 Cups Brulee Topping & Fruit Coulis Side

and Pain Perdu Brioche Bread Pudding with Baileys Ice Cream & Butterscotch Sauce

The meal we had was so nice and we could definitely be returning again. The price range is very reasonable which is great and will definitely be retuning again.
Jules is a great place to go with the girls or for a romantic night out with that special someone in you're life. The best part about it is you don't even have to leave after you're meal, you can sit at the bar for a few drinks and of course some cocktails :)

So if you're looking for some where to go, a break from the norm or dare I say it... In the run up to Christmas or Christmas night out.... Yes I said it!! Christmas!! Then this is defiantly the place to be.

Jules is located on 74 Dame Street, Dublin
